David Emery | Founder & Chairman
David J. Emery is a Swiss National. He began his career with Xerox in Switzerland working there, as well as in Italy and Austria from 1982 to 1995 in various leadership positions. In 1996 he joined Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) Switzerland as Managing Director.
In 1998 he was appointed to head D&B’s activities in South East Asia and India, with his responsibilities expanding further in 2001, to include the whole of Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Following the implementation of a new business model across all of D&B International under his supervision, David focused from 2005 on the strategic markets in Asia Pacific, and by 2011 D&B's business had grown from US$30M to US$250M in this region.
He was elected to D&B’s Executive Board in 2006, leaving D&B in September 2011 to set up Reciprocus International. Since then, he has been appointed as Advisor to several organizations and sits on the boards of several companies.
David holds a Swiss Federal Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and General Management and specialized in Marketing at IMD Lausanne.
Doron Cohen | Chairman of Reciprocus Americas & Co-Founder
Doron Cohen, CB Alliance and Praxis’ founder, chairman and CEO was born in Israel and has lived in the U.S. for over 28 years. During his career he has been on both sides of the “M&A“ table and has served as a hands-on investor/manager in a wide variety of ventures ranging from real estate to high tech and alternate energy technologies.
In 2008 Mr. Cohen and Praxis co-founded Digital Trowel, one of the world’s leading text-mining and semantic web companies, where Mr. Cohen serves as both CEO and Chairman. Mr. Cohen, who also serves as Chairman of Dun & Bradstreet (Israel) and D&B Consumer Credit Bureau (Israel), is an active, hands-on-investor/manager of high tech, BI and alternative energy ventures, with over 30 years of experience in companies of all sizes.
In 2002, he launched the Focus Group, a boutique private equity group that has invested in several BI Technology companies, including D&B Israel, Trusted Partners Inc. and Togasoft Solutions. Previously, Mr. Cohen was founder and CEO of Fidelity Holdings, a Russell 2000 Nasdaq-listed company with over 600 employees and $400m in revenues. He is also the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Helius Corp., an alternative energy venture. From 1975 to 1982, he served in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) in its Technology Division where he achieved the rank of Captain.
Misbah Ahmad | Director
Misbah Ahmad brings to bear his experience as Founder and Managing Partner of Start Consult in Dubai, which offers its clients throughout the GCC strategy consulting, corporate finance and private equity advisory, undertaking projects in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.
Misbah has built the firm’s client base and relationships which now includes government, public sector organisations, multinationals, regional family groups, regional businesses, and entrepreneurs. His experience covers multiple sectors including oil & gas, banking & financial services, manufacturing, real estate, telecommunications, media & technology, distribution, retailing, and logistics.
Prior to founding Start Consult, Misbah spent over 17 years working in strategy consulting, corporate finance & private equity advisory, and direct management of companies as CEO or board member. This experience was in South Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America with, among others, AT&T, Philips and McKinsey & Co.
He has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (United States). He also holds a BSC in engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology (Pakistan) and MSC in computer and information science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Teng Teng Sim | Director & General Manager
TengTeng is Singaporean and a graduate in Civil Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic. After spending more than 10 years in the Risk Management industry, where she developed and managed channel distribution in South East Asia, Teng earned a Business Management degree from Macquarie University.
Her last assignment was with a French service provider for the transportation industry as Regional Sales Manager, covering all South East Asian countries plus Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mongolia and Bangladesh. Her role included sales development throughout the given territories, managing the various sales channels, responding to tenders and RFPs, contract negotiations and implementation, and coordinating support activities.
Gary Fuchs | Managing Director Reciprocus Americas
Gary, a co-founder of CB Alliance, is a seasoned business administrator with over 30 years of experience in founding, funding and operating small to mid-size companies. As a founder, operator and advisor, Gary’s passion is in identifying and attaching challenges, and creating value – real value – in excess of what was perceived.
Gary takes a pro-active role in identifying clients for Reciprocus, and in acting as a liaison between the Singapore team and Reciprocus clients in the Americas.
Gary is responsible for the day-to-day operation of CB, and actively serves in the role of COO/CFO to most CB portfolio companies. Prior to these roles, Gary spent 18 years as a Managing Member of Tishman Investment Partners (TIP), a New York-based investment advisory firm that managed the private investment portfolio of Alan V. Tishman valued at over half a billion dollars. Concurrent to managing TIP, Gary was Managing Director of Milestone International, a business accelerator affiliated with TIP, which assisted early and growth stage Israeli hi-tech companies to raise capital in US markets and to migrate to the US.
Gary has a degree in Accounting and Information Systems, started his career working for seven years at a mid-size public accounting firm.
Gene Tang | SVP, Head of Research
Born and raised in Shanghai, Gene left China at a young age to seek education abroad, first in Switzerland, then in the US. After earning his PhD studying retinal development, Gene spent most of his post-academic career working in support of scientists and entrepreneurs in the technology sector, parlaying his research and language acumen into valuable assets that enabled him to provide clients with accurate insights and in-depth analysis on a wide variety of topics. In addition to his extensive experienceworking in the life sciences field, Gene has also played key roles in projects ranging from business development for a software startup to market due diligence research for a sheet molding composite manufacturer.
Before joining Reciprocus, Gene has worked closely with GBP Capital, SCC Wuxi, Clontech Laboratories, and Instavia Software. He is based in the San Francisco Bay area, but maintains substantial ties within China.
Robert Mac Pherson | Vice President
Robert MacPherson is a United States citizen and started his career as a founding member of Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance. Through his efforts spearheading the organization’s growth in Asia, Robert and his team grew Harambe into a leading international platform for young entrepreneurs pursuing social initiatives and startups in Africa, gaining support and recognition from institutions such as the White House, Harvard, Intel and CNN.
Robert’s role included extensive research on emerging and frontier markets, sourcing strategic partnerships, advising on startup initiatives in Africa and managing the organization’s finances as treasurer. Harambe has been hosted by leading institutions across Africa including South African and Ghanaian Parliaments and the Nelson Mandela Foundation. He is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University where he conducted research in China, Turkey, Slovakia and England and completed an honors business administration degree. Robert speaks Chinese and continues to serve on Harambe’s board of directors.
Gabby Hasson | VP of Business Development for Reciprocus Americas
Gabby is a results-driven, resourceful and highly decisive business development and sales executive, with over 15 years of proven experience in the Information Technology sector in navigating and uncovering opportunities for optimum growth and profitability.Gabby has previously held management, business development and sales positions, both in Israel and the U.S., at IBM and HP, as well as Mashik and CTI. Specializing in uncovering and enhancing solutions for Telco, Core Banking and Online Marketing, Gabby was part of the prestigious Global Technology Unit (GTU) at IBM. Gabby holds an M.B.A. from The Hebrew University.For the last 15 years Gabby has been active in Round Table - Israel, an International Voluntary Organization that helps children with special needs, and has taken leadership roles, including Chairman of Round Table 5 Tel Aviv and National President of the Round Table Israel Association.
Joseph Cohen | Vice President of Reciprocus Americas
Joseph plays a key leadership position, taking a hands-on role in building and managing the Reciprocus team in New York. Prior to joining the Reciprocus team, Joseph served as Team Leader for the CB Alliance Merger & Acquisition Team, focused on enabling companies from the Middle East and Europe expand to the America’s and Israel. Joseph brings that experience to Reciprocus, applying the same skill sets in working with Reciprocus clients looking to transact between AsiaPacific and the Americas.
Joseph is also a member of Reciprocus’ Real Estate transaction team. Joseph has executed every facet of a transaction, including discovery, due diligence, closing, leasing, property management, development and disposition.
Prior to joining CB Alliance, Joseph worked at RMB Properties, a Commercial and Residential Real Estate firm, participating in both brokerage and investment initiatives.
A graduate of the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University, Joseph received his B.S. with highest distinction in Finance and Marketing.
